It’s So Pretty Out There – Welcome Spring

“Earth teach me to forget myself as melted snow forgets its life. Earth teach me resignation as the leaves which die in the fall. Earth teach me courage as the tree which stands all alone. Earth teach me regeneration as the seed which rises in the spring.” – William Alexander

It’s spring! Well, sort of. Here in North Carolina we tend to float back between winter and spring for a while. Farmers and other gardeners are well acquainted with frost advisories.

I can’t help myself from taking pictures as I drive through town, Most of these were shot out the car window. I promise I pulled over or was in a very safe location to shoot out the window. Or through the window. Some may not be the best because I didn’t want to pause too long.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy. I know some of my fellow bloggers will be highlighting far better photography. We know I am not a perfectionist – and I recommend it. Perfection has its place, but I don’t have the attention span.

Admittedly my favorite. I have told the story of this tree before. I am getting ready to put my house on the market and not owning this tree and bush will be my only heartbreak. Well, and my garage. I will miss it, too.
So I wasn’t at a complete stop when this one was taken. But tulip trees are so gorgeous and this one particularly beautiful. I may have to get out of my car for a better picture, but I liked the painting-like quality.
Bradford pears. I once had four in my front yard, now only one. There came down when a small tornado whipped through my neighborhood. I was on vacation when it happened.

I can find so much more and take way better pictures. But still, driving around town now makes me happy and I wanted to share a glimpse. Spring does the heart good.
