I love people who think unconventionally.
So many people are lazy in their thinking. They simply agree with those around them, afraid or too bothered with confrontation.
Some argue loudly, talking more than they listen.
Some they think they know it all and turn off their mind beyond that. “Nothing else to learn here.”
Some think there is always a conspiracy theory and don’t trust anyone.
I’ve learned to listen to all, but especially enjoy people who think for themselves. Who don’t let the people around them, tradition, religion, politics, or culture completely take over their mind. It’s not that I believe those things shouldn’t impact, but I believe we should always filter what we hear through our own brain.
It’s a bit weird that this would be termed unconventional thinking, but in today’s world it is. I believe we should own our own mind, and as long as we live, we should learn and grow. The most vital older people I know are those who have an active and inquisitive mind. I want to be like them.
Invest in those things you love. I’m investing in thinking unconventionally.
