I love people who care enough to make things better.
So many times we don’t.
We often sit around and complain about how bad things are without doing one thing to improve the situation.
Complaining is often someone seeing something that needs to be fixed and telling others about it. We all do it. Complaining is normal.
Noticing what’s wrong in the world is not bad – looking at the world with rose-colored glasses can be.
I believe we should all leave the world better than we found it. That requires we actively look to see what needs fixin’. How can you fix something, or at least make it better, if you refuse to see when something’s not quite right?
We often forget our power as humans – that power first comes from caring.
Everyone is not going to be a prominent activist. Few of us are called to be. In my mind, though, we all should be doing something to make the world better. It can be something public, or something more private.
I have a special love for people who do good things in secret. They notice something that needs to be fixed, some way they can improve someone’s life, and take care of it.
Be it in secret or public, we each have the responsibility to fix what is wrong around us. It may require you open your eyes wider and notice those things you prefer not to see.
Invest in those things you love. I’m investing in making things better.
