Happy Easter! Well, since my church (Grace Baptist Church of Statesville, NC) couldn’t do a traditional service, our pastor did the service via YouTube and some of us did a Facebook watch party. The church is not in the building and that is OK.
Then a few folks got together and did a little Easter parade, with a route that went by the homes of many people in our congregation. I went and watched them get started and then went to my mom’s home to see them pass through her neighborhood.
I put together a little video. Enjoy!
My personal verse of the day comes from Zephaniah 3:17 in the Contemporary English Version (CEV).
”The Lord your God wins victory after victory and is always with you. He celebrates and sings because of you, and he will refresh your life with love.”
May you feel refreshed by love and know you are flawless.
Oh, here is some magic that belongs in our congregational Easter history book. Instead of running to the tomb on Easter morn, these folks were rushing to manifest love of neighbors and friends. An entirely new manifestation of alleluia. Congratulations to Kim and all the vast.

Nice photo! Our church did an online service, as well.

There’s a video of our little parade, too. It was a joyous experience. Maybe Easter should be a bit different on occasion. It’s about new life, after all.
