I love connection.
There’s that something below the surface that sometimes creates quick bonds with other people. These don’t have to lead to long-term relationships, though sometimes they do.
I’m talking about that soul -to-soul connection that we find when we randomly meet people. It can be as quick as a conversation in line at the CVS – for some reason we go deep very fast and share deeply immediately.
Sometimes it leads to true friendships – the kind that lasts forever. It doesn’t have to.
That thing that binds us seems surreal – yet is very real.
I know a few people who never have these sorts of connection. I believe it’s because they either don’t trust people easily or they simply aren’t noticing when it happens.
People are often amazed at the things people tell me right after meeting me. I’m open to it. I also know it’s a special gift they give me. I’m open to hear and they’re open to share. I also share with others like this at times.
Invest in those things you love. I’m investing in connection.
