Wendy Wooten is a good time. Even if she didn’t sing with that glorious, husky voice, I can assure you she will always find the fun.
She’s on my radar for my first local musician interview for News Break, but Friday night she serenaded us at the Wine Maestro and you know I like to share these things with you.
The Wine Maestro in Statesville is more than just a great wine store, by the way. They sponsor entertainment most weekends, so you can have a drink from their bar (the raspberry hard cider was really great this weekend) and listen to some tunes. It’s a place where you can get up and dance or sit on a sofa and laugh with friends, and go home with a gift for a friend. There’s also art by a local artist for sale.

You know I am the lazy photographer so don’t pretty up the videos. When other locals walk in front of you often, dance between you and the performer, make exuberant entrances and exits, and laugh and talk loudly, what’s a woman to do? Well, my thought is relax and enjoy people. Though I may glare on occasion.
